This Staub cast iron 4-1/4 quart Coq a Vin oval cocotte, Made in France, features a knob in the shape of a rooster. It was created to commemorate the French meal Coq au Vin. Staub cast iron cocottes come with a lifetime warranty with normal use and proper care.
Due to the superior construction of the Staub cocotte lids, less humidity can escape during the cooking process. 10% more moisture is retained inside the Staub cocotte after 55 minutes cooking time than in products from other competitors.
The self basting system consisting of distributed spikes over the whole inside flat lid ensures a continuous rainfall effect over the food inside the cocotte. The Staub self basting system in the lid is 9 times more effective than conventional lids.
Staub fully guarantees their products against defects in materials and/or craftsmanship.
The Staub warranty does not cover wear from normal use or any damage resulting from use other than the intended purpose. Wood products are not covered by the warranty as wood is a natural element and thus cannot be guaranteed.
Defective items will be repaired or replaced with similar items at the discretion of Staub.
